Kareem is an experienced lobbyist in the highly regulated industries of banking, energy, cannabis, gaming, liquor, tobacco, and retail. As a lobbyist and consultant for over 15 years at the federal, state, and local levels, Kareem specializes in government relations, policy analysis, and legislative affairs, navigating his clients through complex and evolving regulatory processes.

Kareem is also co-founder and managing partner of Majority-Minority Group, a value-driven company that aims to create more minority-owned businesses. In 2019, Majority-Minority Group helped negotiate Illinois’ most social-equity driven cannabis law in the country. Kareem is also founder and CEO of Green Line, Inc. that taps into the complex world of media to champion clients’ objectives.

Kareem previously worked in Illinois government, serving as Director of Legislative Affairs for former Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. As her legislative director, Kareem oversaw and implemented a comprehensive legislative strategy to help achieve the Attorney General’s goals in the General Assembly, including messaging and public relations components. He also served in the Illinois House of Representatives’ Research and Budget Office, representing the House Speaker and House Representatives in negotiations on legislation, budget appropriations, and public policy initiatives.

Kareem holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Northern Illinois University, graduating with magna cum laude honors.
